really not worth it
for the price, not worth it. you could get a better meal at olive garden and it would have be less or about the same price. the sauce is so plain with no flavor, it was like it came from a can. the marsala was gummy. I've had better at fazzoli's.

Surprisingly Fabulous Food and Service
My expectations for Vescio's Cucina weren't incredibly high (what with the neon sign and slightly antiquated exterior) but my date and I went because of the half price wine. The Pinot Noir we picked was phenomenal and that was just the beginning of a wonderful evening. Warm bread with whipped butter that comes without asking (and is refilled - NO ONE does that anymore!!) and a charming waiter who seemed genuinely interested in meeting our needs (we chatted about baseball). I had pesto gnocchi and it was to DIE for. My date's prosciutto and chicken pasta had the best tasting noodles I can remember trying - they just melted and yet somehow weren't overcooked (I didn't try the meat but apparently it was great). We were so delighted that we told the hostess to give our compliments to the chef, and the chef came out to greet us personally. He was lovely, and when he heard that I was a vegetarian he went back in to personally get me a large take-home serving of his homemade meatless red sauce (we had already paid and tipped so he was not trying to secure more money, which is particularly refreshing).

We were pleasantly surprised by both the food and the service at this place and whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone looking for some authentic tasting Italian food and great wine in the area.

Bad First Impression
This was our first time visiting this restaurant. We entered well after the dinner rush to a somewhat empty dining room unnoticed at the host stand for about 5-7 minutes. The hostess finally greeted us and said she was sorry for ignoring us and placed us on a 10 minute wait. Her co-hostess sat us down and walked away. Server was unattentive, did not offer and specials or even a drink order. We walked out of Vescio's just like we entered, unnoticed. Very poor service. If you need their food, order take out. There are lots of very nice Italian restaurants in Mpls/St Paul that go over and beyond creating returning loyal customers, Vescio's failed from the minute we walked in.

Wonderful meal
We eat here regularly and have had one wonderful mean after another. I love the hand made pasta (ravioli, fetticcini, gnochi). It's thicker than many people expect, but that's what hand rolled past is like. I also love the alfredo sauce. Fun place.

best pasta
vescios has to have the best noddles in the city. they are extra thick, and eggy. hand cut rather than machine cut. the sauces are top notch aswell (fettucini is the best, gnochi is a close second). the garlic butter sauce and alfredo are both light and very good. the rest of the menu is good, but pasta is by far the best part of the menu. salads and brad are real basic. service and and ambience are average, never much of a wait. the pasta makes it well worth trying!
